Bluebell Nursing Home, part of DMP Healthcare, recently received a thoughtful and touching gesture from the family of one of their former residents, Doreen Southgate. In a heartwarming tribute, the Southgate family presented the care home with a cake designed to resemble the Bluebell building, along with a "Thank You" card expressing their sincere gratitude for the care provided to their mother.

The intricately designed cake, complete with Bluebell’s name and details, was accompanied by a card thanking the entire staff—laundry, kitchen, cleaners, carers, admin, and activities team—for their outstanding care and support during Doreen's time at the home. The family’s note expressed their deep appreciation for the compassion, dignity, and comfort given to Doreen, particularly in her final days.

The Southgate family wrote that the staff’s support had meant so much to them during a difficult period, offering care that brought them peace and reassurance.

Staff at Bluebell Nursing Home were moved by the family’s gesture and said they were honoured to have played a role in Doreen’s care and to have made such a meaningful impact on her family.
