Pranam Care Centre employs a skilled team of support staff, including activity coordinators, experienced cooks and housekeeping and laundry staff to enhance the quality of daily life of residents.

Janice McKenzie
I have over a period of twenty years acquired and developed a repertoire for managing Health and Social Care establishments.
My training and work experiences in various Residential, Nursing and Extra-Care schemes have ensured growth in my intellect and my maturity as a competent and effective manager.
I started on this career path as a carer and through commitment, hard work, dedication and passion, I have moved up the ranks to my current role as a Home manager.

Daily Life
Pranam Care Centre really focuses on our moments approach and the importance of meaningful engagement; encouraging residents to participate in activities that are meaningful to them, offer reminiscence or to try new things and build relationships, we want our residents to enjoy life and maintain their independence.
We encourage support and prompt daily tasks, from making a cup of tea to pursuing hobbies and pastimes. This increases a sense of purpose, confidence, and achievement amongst our residents.
Residents look forward to our regular visits to local places of interest; a firm favourite are our Bingo trips and Arts & Crafts. We have a very popular cafe/bar area for those who enjoy coffee mornings and our conservatory is a popular hot spot for afternoon tea or those important family get-togethers, we have an on-site salon to maintain their personal grooming. We have regular external practitioners visit the home to enhance the wellbeing of our residents.
Mealtimes are professionally catered for by our in-house kitchen team, providing a varied, hearty daily menu freshly prepared each day. We cater for all dietary requirements as well as likes and dislikes, we recognise mealtimes are an activity and want people to really enjoy meal times. A lot of our activities are wrapped around food; world food days, fishy friday are some of our most popular meal time experiences.
The importance of culture & faith is fully recognised; therefore, strong links with different local faith groups and places of worship have been developed, with regular visits organised.
